About Jessica
From a young age, Jessica was immersed in dog training, growing up with AKC Golden Retrievers and a family background in bird dog hunting. She earned her dog training certification from Animal Behavior College and honed her skills at the Central Arizona Humane Society, where she transformed dogs with major behavioral issues and no obedience. At the humane society, Jessica worked tirelessly with these challenging cases, implementing tailored training plans that addressed each dog's specific needs, helping them overcome fears, aggression, and anxiety to become adoptable and well-behaved pets.
After moving to Prescott, Arizona, Jessica became an AKC evaluator and began offering group classes, including Canine Good Citizen. With over three years of experience training in the Quad Cities, she has built a reputation for excellence and was voted as the best dog trainer in Prescott. Jessica owns a 5-year-old black Labrador Retriever who competes in AKC scent work and obedience and serves as her demo dog.
Jessica's passion is helping dogs and their owners build better relationships through positive, balanced training methods.

About Shelby
Shelby's journey in animal training began with horses, where she managed a string of polo horses as the captain of the USC Polo team and worked as a groom at the Will Rogers Polo Club. She then transitioned to dogs, earning her certification as a professional dog trainer through CCPDT.
Her commitment to the community shines through her work with the LAPD therapy dog team, where she helped train dogs to provide psychological first aid to first responders.
Shelby graduated from Kennelwood Academy, specializing in various disciplines like scent detection, search and rescue tracking, agility, protection, and service work. She's also pet CPR and first aid certified.
At home, she shares her life with three incredible dogs: Ammo, a mini schnauzer and LAPD therapy dog, Blaze, an Australian shepherd she competes with in agility and obedience, and Ricky Bobby, who competes in scent work, dock diving, obedience ( and dabbles in bitework).
We love Jessica Ruttle and Candid Canine Training! Our cattle dog Donut went through a 3-week board & train program with Jessica, and the results were astonishing. We have continued training with Jessica through transfer sessions and 'pack walks' at different locations to get Donut used to various surroundings. Donut is so much more obedient and responsive now. We would absolutely recommend Jessica to friends and family!
